Apple Stops Signing iOS 18.1.1, Downgrades and Restores No Longer Possible

Apple has stopped signing iOS 18.1.1, preventing users from being able to downgrade or restore to that firmware version.

Currently, Apple's latest firmware is iOS 18.2. If you accidentally update or restore, you'll find yourself on that version. Developers have already been seeded with iOS 18.3 beta.

Those interested in jailbreaking are typically advised to stay on the lowest firmware possible. The unc0ver jailbreak and Taurine jailbreak support all devices running iOS 14 - 14.3. Unc0ver has been updated with the Fugu14 untether which supports iOS 14.3 - iOS 14.5.1 and a Fugu15 jailbreak has been released for developers on iOS 15. A Fugu15 Max jailbreak for A12 - A15 devices running iOS 15.0 through iOS 15.4.1 has been released in beta. The Dopamine 2.2 semi-untethered jailbreak has been released for M1/A14 and earlier devices on iOS 16.5.1 or lower, and finally the palera1n jailbreak has been updated with iPadOS 18 support and iOS 17.3.1 support for A11 devices and lower.
