Apple Adds Menu Bar Weather Widget in macOS 15.2 Beta 2

Apple has added a menu bar Weather widget in the second beta of macOS 15.2 seeded to developers yesterday.

The new widget can be enabled from System Settings under Control Center. Scroll down to the Menu Bar Only section and set Weather to 'Show in Menu Bar'.

Clicking the menu bar icon shows an overview of the current conditions (location, temperature, high, low, precipitation) and conditions over the next five hours.

This release also contains new artificial intelligence features including ChatGPT, Image Playground, Visual Intelligence, and more. To try the Apple Intelligence beta, join the waitlist in Settings and you will be notified as soon as it is ready for your device. Both device language and Siri language must be set to to English (US), English (UK), English (CA), English (AU), English (IE), English (NZ), or English (ZA). Apple Intelligence is available on Macs with M1 and later. Apple Intelligence is not currently available in China.
