Apple Allegedly Developed iPhone SE 4 Plus Prototype [Video]

Apple started development of the iPhone SE 4 with a 6.7-inch display, similar to the one used for the iPhone 14 Plus, but then moved to a 6.1-inch model, according to a new rumor from Macotakara.

According to Alibaba Sources, development of the iPhone SE 4 initially started with a 6.7-inch size, the same as the iPhone 14 Plus. Later, a 6.1-inch model, matching the size of the iPhone 14, was added to the development process.

Despite allegedly prototyping two sizes, the site says Apple may choose to only release the iPhone SE 4 in one size.

Although the final design and size options have not been confirmed, it is possible that, like the current third-generation iPhone SE, only one size will be released.

In the video embedded below, Macotakara examines an iPhone SE 4 mockup, comparing it to the iPhone 14.

The following observations were noted:
• Same size as iPhone 14 (6.1-inch display)
• Mute switch is smaller and slightly higher
• Rear camera is smaller, with a different flash position
• iPhone 14 case leaves a gap around the camera
• 5 holes on the right and 3 on the left at the bottom
• Likely includes a USB-C port
• Speakers and microphone setup similar to iPhone 14
• TPU case fits but not perfectly around the camera
• Screen protector fits perfectly
