Apple Discontinues Powerbeats Pro Ahead of Powerbeats Pro 2 Launch in 2025

Apple has discontinued its Beats Powerbeats Pro wireless earbuds ahead of the teased launch of the Powerbeats Pro 2 in 2025.

It seems Apple stopped selling the Powerbeats Pro within the past week. Originally launched in April 2019, the earbuds have remained unchanged but continue to be popular with users thanks to their earhooks, which keep them securely in place during activities.

Last month, Apple released a video teasing the next-generation Powerbeats Pro 2. The ad featured Japanese professional baseball pitcher Shohei Ohtani taking a swing with a bat while wearing the new earbuds. While the ad confirmed a 2025 release window, it did not provide additional details.

However, iOS 18 code references suggest that Powerbeats Pro 2 will include heart rate monitoring during workouts and introduce support for Active Noise Cancellation, Spatial Audio, and Adaptive Audio.

If you're looking to grab the original Powerbeats Pro before they disappear entirely, Amazon still has inventory available for 37% off.
