Apple's entire iPhone 17 series may adopt the new ionized battery adhesive, which is currently available on the base iPhone 16 models, according to a rumor from Majin Bu. This adhesive allows for easy battery removal using an electric current.

From the information I have been able to gather, it looks like the entire iPhone 17 series will feature new battery adhesives and will use electrically induced adhesive peel technology.

Apple introduced the ionized adhesive on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. You can see how the new battery removal process works in this teardown video. Notably, iFixit has also launched a 'VoltClip' tool that connects to a USB-C power source for battery removal.

In a post on X, Bu shares an image that appears to show four different adhesive designs, possibly for four different iPhone 17 models. While the authenticity of the leaked parts remains unconfirmed, it's plausible that Apple will extend the use of ionized adhesive to the iPhone Pro models as well.
