A new rumor claims that Apple will launch pre-orders for the iPhone 16 on Thursday, September 12, instead of the expected Friday, September 13.

Apple typically holds its iPhone unveiling on a Tuesday, with pre-orders starting on the following Friday, and the official release a week later on Friday as well. This year, the company has announced its big unveiling event for Monday, September 9. According to the German blog Macerkopf, both the pre-order date and release date might also be moved up by one day.

As the iPhone 16 keynote approaches, the anticipation for the next generation of iPhones grows. Before Apple unveils the new models on September 9th, we've heard that the pre-order launch this year might not be on a Friday but on a Thursday. Specifically, we're talking about September 12, 2024. The actual sales launch could then take place on September 19.

The iPhone 16 lineup is expected to offer new features, such as a dedicated capture button, faster processors, and slightly larger displays on the Pro models. However, it won't be drastically different from the iPhone 15. You can check out some of the rumored specs here.

In addition to the iPhone, Apple will likely unveil new Apple Watch models and AirPods at the event. The Apple Watch Series 10 is expected to feature significant updates, including a thinner design and larger displays. The AirPods lineup could get new low-end and mid-tier models, with the mid-tier version gaining noise cancellation for the first time. There may also be an update to AirPods Pro.
