Apple's new Beats Pill speaker has been spotted in the FCC database ahead of its release.

The new speaker has already been teased by Apple in multiple advertising campaigns featuring celebrities like Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James and Australian F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo.

The first Beats Pill speaker was introduced in 2012, following the brand's success in headphones. It featured a distinctive pill-shaped design and aimed produce clear, full-range sound that was robust for its size. After its acquisition of Beats, Apple introduced a new Beats Pill+ speaker in October 2015. That version was slightly larger with top-mounted volume controls and a Beats logo button. It also switched to Lightning from micro-USB. The new speaker is clearly branded with the Beats logo and has a lanyard that wasn't found on previous versions of the device. It's model number is A3211.

Notably, Apple did not release the Beats Pill speaker alongside its recent release of new Beats Solo 4 wireless headphones and Beats Solo Buds wireless earbuds. However, given that the speaker has reached the FCC, it's likely to arrive in the near future.
