Apple is preparing to launch the Vision Pro headset internationally, following its Worldwide Developers Conference next month, reports Bloomberg.
The company began holding training sessions in recent days and has flown hundreds of employees from its international stores to Cupertino, California, to learn how to demonstrate the device for customers, according to people with knowledge of the matter. The training takes as many as four days, and courses started last week, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the efforts are private.
Apple released Vision Pro in the United States on February 2, 2024. Since then, sales have predictability declined due its high cost and limited utility.
In typical fashion, Apple hasn't told international employees exactly where or when the Vision Pro will be available; however, workers have come for training from numerous countries including Germany, France, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and China.
Apple could also boost sales for Vision Pro with the rumored unveiling of visionOS 2 at WWDC. There's no new hardware expected until 2026, so the company will need to rely on improved and new functionality to entice buyers.
