Early Benchmarks for New M2 iPad Air

Early benchmarks have surfaced for the new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air with M2 chip on the Geekbench 6 Results Browser.

The new iPad Air M2 features an 8-core CPU with 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, 10-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine, and 8GB RAM.

For the 13-inch model, the average Geekbench 6 single-core score is 2610 and the average multi-core score is 9880. Compare that to the previous generation 10.9-inch iPad Air with an average single-core score of 2256 and multi-core score of 8086.



For the 11-inch model, the average Geekbench 6 single-core score is 2602 and the average multi-core score is 9861. That's a near match to the performance of the 13-inch model.



The new iPad Air is available to pre-order now and will be released on May 15, 2024:
iPad Air (11-inch, M2): $599
iPad Air (13-inch, M2): $799
