Apple's next generation iPad Air may feature a landscape oriented front facing camera, according to leaker Instant Digital.
In a post on Weibo today, leaker Instant Digital wrote:
The camera position on the iPad Air 6 10.9/12.9 has been moved to a central horizontal position, and factories producing tempered films in Dongguan have already begun shipping.
It's widely rumored that Apple will unveil a new iPad Air this month, offering the popular tablet in a larger 12.9-inch size, in addition to the current 10.9-inch size.
The company is also expected to unveil new OLED iPad Pro models, which likewise have been rumored to feature a landscape oriented front facing camera for Face ID and FaceTime.
In a somewhat unusual move, it appears that Apple will announce these new iPads via press release. In the past, the company has held a spring event to launch new products, but that doesn't appear to be happening this year. Apple already launched new M3 MacBook Air models via press release this week and we expect the new iPads to arrive in a similar fashion later this month.
