The Stand & Hub now features a NVMe SSD enclosure and faster speeds of up to 10Gbps while the new Pro version of the Thunderbolt 4 Slim Hub now supports up to 40Gbps data transfer speeds and up to 8K/60Hz video output while delivering 96W of charging to the host device. The updated version also allows users to daisy-chain up to six devices at once and provides 32Gpbs native PCIe support for external GPUs and Thunderbolt-based SSDs.
Stand & Hub for Mac Studio / Mac mini
Optimized to read both NVMe and M.2 SATA SSDs, the Stand & Hub for Mac mini and Mac Studio has an upgraded SSD enclosure that provides faster data transfer and increased storage capacity. Driven by Gen 2 USB-C technology, the USB-C 3.1 and USB-A 3.1 ports allow users to transfer files, photos and videos twice as fast with speeds up to 10Gbps. The SSD feature can also quickly and easily complete Time Machine backups on Macs.
The Stand & Hub is crafted to feel like a natural extension of the Mac mini and Mac Studio. It connects through a single cable on the back of the hub and features elevated mounting brackets for a secure hold and carefully positioned vents to promote airflow and keep devices cool. The compact hub also includes a USB-C 3.1 data port, USB-A 3.1 data port, two USB-A 3.0 data ports, micro/SD card readers, and an audio jack.
Thunderbolt 4 Slim Hub Pro
The new Thunderbolt 4 Slim Hub Pro is equipped with a larger 150W GaN power supply and capable of outputting up to 96W of power to the host device – a 60% increase from the 60W of its predecessor. The power supply utilizes the latest GaN technology to maintain a small, lightweight profile.
There are three Thunderbolt 4 downstream ports that support up to 40Gbps data transfers and video output for up to two 4K displays or one 8K display. In addition to delivering 15W of power to connected peripherals, the upgraded hub allows users to daisy-chain up to six devices at once and provides 32Gbps native PCIe support for external GPUs and Thunderbolt-based SSDs.
