Early Benchmarks Surface for New Apple M3, M3 Max Macs

Early benchmarks for Apple's new Macs with M3 and M3 Max chips have surfaced ahead of their release.

The Geekbench Results Browser reveals several benchmarks for the M3 and M3 Max, but we've yet to spot any for the M3 Pro.

The M3 has an average single-core score of 3034 and an average multi-core score of 11625. Compare that to the 15-inch M2 Macbook Air at 2589 and 9742.

The M3 Max has an average single-core score of 3011 and an average multi-core score of 20805. Compare that to the 16-inch M2 Max MacBook Pro at 2736 and 14497.

Notably, the M3 Max is showing performance nearing the fastest M2 Ultra Mac Studio which has a single-core score of 2803 and a multi-core score of 21316.

Apple's new M3 iMac and M3 MacBook Pro models are now available to order with shipments arriving next week. Numerous models are already available on Amazon and you can visit Apple.com to order customized configurations.
