Alleged specifications for Apple's next generation iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro are already starting to surface. While unconfirmed, these may help you decide if you should wait for next year's model, or purchase a new iPhone 15 model.
According to analyst Jeff Pu from Haitong Intl Tech Research, the iPhone 16 Pro will see its screen size enlarge by 0.2-inch, presumably going from 6.1-inches to 6.3-inches and 6.7-inches to 6.9-inches.
The iPhone 16 camera is said to feature a 48MP (1/1.5", 7P), 3- Stacked lens and 12MP Ultrawide lens (5P), while the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 48MP (1/1.3", 7P), 3- Stacked lens, a new 48MP UW (6P AF) lens, and 12MP Tele (Periscope 1G3P) lens.
The iPhone 16 will reportedly be powered by a 3nm A17 chip and use Qualcomm's Snapdragon X70 5G modem. iPhone 16 Pro will get a new A18 Pro 3nm chip based on TSMC's N3E process and a new Snapdragon X75 5G modem. Qualcomm says that the Snapdragon X75 is the world's first Modem-RF System with a dedicated AI tensor accelerator bringing 2.5X improved AI performance over Gen 1. All models of the iPhone 16 will purportedly have 8GB of LPD5 RAM.
Finally, Pu suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro may get support for WiFi 7 with an integrated WiFi 7 + Bluetooth + Ultra-wideband solution. The iPhone 16 would stick with support for WiFi 6e.
