Apple may be planning to increase the price of its next generation iPhone 15 Pro Max, according to a new report from TrendForce.

In a press release recapping rumored specifications for Apple's upcoming iPhone 15 lineup, TrendForce says that the company is contemplating the price increase due to higher production costs.

Overall, TrendForce predicts a stable pricing landscape for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro, largely mirroring last year's figures. The Pro Max, however, is a different story. Equipped with an exclusive high-cost periscope lens, it's expected to command a premium—likely a bump of up to US$100—to reflect its increased production costs. Should this price adjustment materialize, it would mark the first such move since the era of the iPhone X.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max is rumored to feature a 6.7-inch flexible AMOLED on-cell display, titanium-aluminum frame, A17 3nm processor, 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, a 48MP(7P) + 12MP(6P)+12MP(Periscope 1G3P) camera with Dual OIS, and USB-C. TrendForce believes Apple will offer the device in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacities for $1199, $1299, $1499, and $1699.

Apple will unveil its iPhone 15 lineup alongside the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 at a special 'Wonderlust' event on September 12. Please download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for full coverage.
