Apple to Unveil New AirPods With USB-C Port at September 12 Event [Report]

Apple is planning to unveil updated AirPods that feature a USB-C port instead of Lightning at its upcoming iPhone event, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

Earlier today, Apple announced a 'Wonderlust' special event that will take place on September 12th. The company is widely expected to debut its new iPhone 15 lineup at the event; as well as, new Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra models.

Numerous reports have said that all four new iPhone 15 models will make the switch to USB-C from Lightning and Gurman believes Apple will update AirPods with USB-C as well.


To match the new iPhones, Apple will introduce updated AirPods at the event that include a USB-C charging port.
