Apple will likely hold an event on September 12 to unveil its new iPhone 15 models, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. There was some earlier speculation that the event could take place on September 13; however, it seems that Tuesday, September 12 is now most probable.
Signs are increasingly pointing to Sept. 12 as the iPhone 15 event date, but obviously things can still theoretically change.
Notably, Gurman says the event will not be held live; rather, members of the press will be invited to watch a prerecorded video presentation after which they will be able to demo the company's new devices.
Not that there was any doubt, but Sept 12 event is being prepared as an in-person launch. So recorded video + people watching at the Apple campus + hands on afterwards. Same as the iPhone 14.
While the prerecorded format removes the risks of mistakes and allows for more pizzazz, many feel it lacks the connection with the audience that a true in-person event brings.
