Apple has released Xcode 15 Beta 5 and visionOS 1 Beta 2 Simulator Runtime to developers.
Xcode 15 beta 5 enables you to develop, test, and distribute apps for Apple platforms. It supports the SDKs for iOS 17, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, watchOS 10, macOS 14, and visionOS 1.
For developers working on visionOS apps, Apple has also announced that you can now apply for an Apple Vision Pro Developer Kit.
Developers with an innovative idea for an app or game designed for visionOS that requires building and testing on a device, should apply. Apple notes that it will retain ownership of headsets sent out for testing. The kit will need to stay at its ship-to address in a private, secure workspace accessible only by you and your authorized developers. You'll have regular check-ins with Apple and you'll need to return the kit at Apple's request.
