The developers behind the popular Halide camera app have made their other app, 'Spectre Camera,' available for free and introduced a new Pro version.

Spectre uses AI to help you make amazing long exposure photographs. Spectre can remove crowds, turn city streets into rivers of light, make waterfalls look like paintings, and much more. Until now, it was difficult to take long exposures: from keeping the camera steady to guessing the amount of light you need. Spectre takes care of all of that!

Lux Optics announced that the app was going free on Twitter:

"Today we're announcing a big update to our other camera app: Spectre. Two big changes today: Spectre is now free. And we're introducing Spectre Pro — a free upgrade to our users, and a free download for everyone else."

Spectre Pro packs new, powerful 15 and 30 second exposures into long exposure mode — as well as a slick new Pro icon. New users can take exposures up to 3 seconds for free and unlock Pro for a one-time purchase.

"We're super excited to bring Spectre to a huge audience by making it free — and see even cooler results with the long exposure modes, which can achieve awesome shots like erasing crowds in super-busy places. "

You can download Spectre Camera from the App Store for free.
