First Benchmark for New 2023 Mac Pro Surfaces

The first benchmark for the new 2023 Mac Pro has surfaced on Geekbench. The tested desktop is designated Mac14,8 and features an Apple M2 Ultra chip with 64GB of RAM.

The Mac Pro scored 2794 in single-core performance and 21453 in multi-core performance. Compare that to the Late 2019 Mac Pro with Intel Xeon W-3275M @ 2.5 GHz (28 cores) which scored 1378 in single-core performance and 10390 in multi-core performance. The new Mac Studio tested very similar with scores around 2837 and 21730.

Both the Mac Studio and Mac Pro are officially available starting today:
● Mac Studio starts at $1,999 (U.S.) and $1,799 (U.S.) for education. Additional configure-to-order options are available at apple.com/store.
● Available in both tower and rack-mounted enclosures, Mac Pro (Tower Enclosure) starts at $6,999 (U.S.) and $6,599 (U.S.) for education. Mac Pro (Rack Enclosure) starts at $7,499 (U.S.) and $6,999 (U.S.) for education.
