Apple has announced that iOS 16 adoption has reached 81% and iPadOS 16 adoption has reached 71%. This is the first update the company has provided on iOS 16 adoption since February.
As of May 30, 2023, 81% of iPhone users are on iOS 16, 13% are on iOS 15, and 6% are using an earlier version. That number jumps to 90% for devices introduced in the last four years. In February, iOS 16 adoption was at 72%.
For iPad, 71% of users are on iPadOS 16, 20% are on iPadOS 15, and 9% are on an earlier version. That jumps to 76% for devices introduced in the last four years. In February, iPadOS adoption was at 50%.
Apple released iOS 16.5 and iPadOS 16.5 last month. Developers have been seeded with betas of iOS 16.6 beta 2 and iPadOS 16.6 beta 2.
