Check out this new Apple Headset concept from designer Marcus Kane.
The concept, shared on Twitter, features a compact design, 3D knit headband with integrated audio, MacBook style air vents, and more.
Some notes on the design choices:
● Added a battery sling and case as I believe this will be part of creating the experience of using this product
● 3D knit headband with integrated audio & magnetic connections for the power cable / folding of the headband, as well as comfort
● MacBook style air vents with integrated hidden sensors for Sky, ground, body , mouth and arm tracking
● Compact form is derived from the size of screen and optics used combined with any other tech stack I could think of, and a dash of optimistic thinking.
Apple demonstrated its mixed reality headset to top executives last month and it is widely expected to unveil the device at WWDC in June. The company's first headset will likely be a high-end device with an array of cameras and high-resolution screens, and a cost of around $3,000. That will limit its sales significantly; however, it will give developers time to create applications that could be used on a cheaper second generation device.
