Chinese pianist Lang Lang pulled out an iPad to play 'Flight of the Bumblebee' for an encore at a San Francisco concert this week.
Smule apparently sent Lang Lang an iPad withMagic Piano preloaded on it as thanks for being part of the inspiration behind the app.
Lang Lang used the very same iPad for an encore at a concert with young musicians in San Francisco and played Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee", one of the songs included in Magic Piano's songbook.
Smule co-founder Ge Wang said he met with Lang Lang on Monday afternoon before the concert and played a few pieces on the app with him. "I've never seen the freestyle Magic Piano played like he did," said Wang. Adding that Lang Lang, "totally digs Magic Piano and the iPad."
