Apple's next major software update, iOS 17, may drop support for several iPhone and iPad models, according to a rumor shared on Twitter.
The tweet claims iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 will drop support for the following devices:
● iPhone 8
● iPhone 8 Plus
● iPhone X
● iPad (5th generation)
● 9.7-in. iPad Pro (1st generation)
● 12.9-in. iPad Pro (1st generation)
It's not surprising that Apple will drop support for some devices with the launch of iOS 17. Last year, the company dropped support for iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, iPhone SE 1, iPad Mini 4, and iPad Air 2 with the launch of iOS 16.
We're expecting Apple to debut iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 at WWDC 2023 which takes place June 5-9 this year.
