Realme has unveiled its new GT Neo5 smartphone featuring the ability to charge at an impressive 240W via USB-C.

According to the product page for the GT Neo5, a thirty second charge will let you talk for two hours, watch one hour of video, or listen to music for three hours. Additionally, it takes just eighty seconds to charge to 20%, four minutes to charge to 50%, and nine and half minutes to charge to 100%.

The phone is also able to fast charge while performing other tasks. The company says it was able to fully charge the GT Neo5 in seventeen minutes while playing Honor of Kings.

The smartphone's charging capabilities were demonstrated on stage during a live stream yesterday.

In terms of user experience, we have indeed made every second count

So how fast is the 240W full-level second charge? I have to mention a set of flash charge data here. Charge for 30 seconds, talk for two hours.

Think back to these years. The development of mobile phone flash charging technology is really rapid. In 8 years, the flash charging speed has doubled by 10 times.

What kind of concept is this charging speed?
Realme GT Neo 5 starts to charge it when it is almost out of power.
You only need to charge for 30 seconds and you can make calls for more than 2 hours
Only need to charge for 30 seconds, you can basically play a game of King of Glory
Only need to charge for 30 seconds, you can watch an hour of online movies, only need to charge for 30 seconds, you can watch Douyin for 40 minutes

Believe me, this is definitely not just an increase in speed, it is definitely a complete subversion of your machine experience.

Notably, although Apple offers "fast charging" it doesn't come close to these numbers. We tested charging the iPhone 14 Pro with a variety of chargers to see how long it took to charge. Check out that test here:
