Apple's next generation iPad mini will likely begin mass production in the first quarter of 2024, according to a new report from TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
The analyst expects iPad shipments to drop in 2023 as Apple may not introduce any new models until the arrival of a new iPad mini in early 2024.
There may be no new iPad releases in the next 9-12 months as the iPad mini refresh is more likely to begin mass production in 1Q24. Thus, I'm taking a cautious approach to iPad shipments for 2023, predicting a YoY decline of 10-15%.
Despite a potentially slow 2023 for iPad, Kuo is positive about 2024 which could see the launch of a new foldable iPad with a carbon fiber kickstand and an updated iPad mini.
Currently, the iPad mini 6 is on sale for $469 in all four colors, a discount of $30 off.
