Apple is purportedly working to develop a new 11.1-inch OLED iPad Pro and 13-inch OLED iPad Pro, according to Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC). Young believes that the rumored 14.1-inch iPad Pro has been cancelled or significantly delayed.
The new sizes for the iPad Pro were confirmed to MacRumors.
Young has previously mentioned new OLED iPad Pro models planned for 2024, but this is the first time that we've heard about updated 11.1 and 13-inch display sizes. With larger 11.1 and 13-inch screen sizes planned for the OLED iPad Pro models, we could see slimmed down bezels rather than an overall change in the size of the device.
Apple is expected to unveil the new iPad Pro models in the first quarter of 2024. The company just refreshed the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro in October, so the gap between generations could be around 18 months.
Notably, Young also expects Apple to release an OLED MacBook Air in 2024.
