Apple is planning to launch a new iPad mini in late 2023 or early 2024, according to a new report from TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
The analyst says the primary selling feature of the new iPad mini will be a faster processor.
Apple is currently working on a new version of the iPad mini equipped with a new processor as the main selling point, and the mass shipment is expected to start by the end of 2023 or in 1H24.
Additionally, Kuo dismisses rumors that Apple will replace the iPad mini with a foldable device in 2025.
I think it's unlikely Apple will replace the iPad mini with a foldable iPad in 2025, which may be contrary to what some media previously predicted. It's because a foldable iPad will have a markedly higher price than an iPad mini, so such a replacement is not reasonable.
The current iPad mini 6 features an 8.3-inch display and a A15 Bionic processor. It's on sale today for $469.
