Elon Musk met with Apple CEO Tim Cook at Apple Park today, following public accusations that Apple has threatened to withhold Twitter from the App Store.
Musk disclosed the meeting in a tweet:
Thanks @tim_cook for taking me around Apple’s beautiful HQ
He also shared a brief video of the ripple pool at Apple Park.
According to Musk, Cook said the company never considered removing Twitter from the App Store.
Good conversation. Among other things, we resolved the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store. Tim was clear that Apple never considered doing so.
It's likely the two CEOs also discussed Apple's 30% cut of in-app purchases. This App Store policy will significantly reduce the revenue Twitter will get from its new $8/month Verified Check subscription.
