In iOS 16 and later, you can easily find the password of a saved WiFi network on iPhone. You may want to do this if you need to share your saved Wi-Fi password with a friend but don't remember it.
Here's how...
Tap to open the Settings app from your Home screen, then tap Wi-Fi from the Settings menu.
You'll be shown a list of Wi-Fi networks. Tap the blue information (i) button to the right of a Wi-Fi network name.
Tap on the hidden Wi-Fi password. Then, use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock and reveal the password. To copy the password to the clipboard, tap the Copy button that appears above the saved WiFi password.
IMPORTANT NOTES
● You can only view and copy a saved password if you've successfully connected to that Wi-Fi network before.
● You can use this same procedure to discover the saved Wi-Fi passwords of any WiFi network you've previously connected to. Note that WiFi passwords should be kept confidential and not shared with users you don't trust.
● The steps to view WiFi passwords is the same on iPad; however, you must be running iPadOS 16.1 or later.
● Typically, your Wi-Fi network password can be changed in your router settings. To open these settings, navigate to your router's IP address in a browser. Consult your Wi-Fi router manual or contact your Internet Service Provider for further assistance.
