Apple's long rumored 27-inch mini-LED display has been delayed to the first quarter of 2023, according to Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC).

In fall 2021, Young initially predicted a new iMac with a 27-inch mini-LED display would arrive in the first quarter of 2022. In March 2022, Young reported that the panel may actually be for a Studio Display Pro that would launch in June 2022. However, COVID lockdowns in China purportedly delayed production, with Young revising his prediction to October 2022.

In a tweet today, Young indicates that the monitor may have been further delayed to Q1 2023. This could coincide with reports that the much anticipated M-series Mac Pro may not launch until 2023 as well. Additionally, it's rumored that Apple may not hold a press event to launch its new lineup of products this fall, resorting to press releases instead.
