Larger Camera Bump Makes iPhone 14 Pro Thicker Than the Original iPhone

The larger camera bump on Apple's new iPhone 14 Pro makes the device thicker overall than the original iPhone 2G.

FlightyApp founder Ryan Jones shared a chart on Twitter tracking the iPhone's historical changes in thickness.

- iPhone 14 Pro bump is 4.18mm total
- that’s over half the thickness of the *phone body*
- including bump, the 14 Pro is thicker than original iPhone

Notably, the total thickness of the iPhone 14 Pro is 12.03mm. That's thicker than the iPhone 2G at 11.6mm but thinner than the iPhone 3G at 12.3mm.
