Apple's next generation iPad could feature a Touch ID power button and a relocated FaceTime camera, according to an unverified rumor from Macotakara.

The site says it's confirmed with multiple Chinese sources that the previously leaked CAD data for the iPad 10 does show the correct chassis size; however, the CAD data does not show the position of the Touch ID button or the size of the front display.

Macotakara speculates that Apple may use the same Touch ID power button found in the iPad mini 6. Additionally, a source has told them that the FaceTime camera could be on the right side.

There are also reports that the FaceTime HD camera will be significantly different, with one source saying that the FaceTime HD camera could be on the right side. The center frame feature, which is useful when using FaceTime video and other features, is better when the device is placed horizontally, and it is possible that the location of the FaceTime HD camera will change to accommodate such usage scenarios. However, all of this is still speculation, and the exact details remain unknown.

Apple is expected to unveil its new iPad 10 alongside next generation iPad Pros in October. You can download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for additional updates.
