Apple engineers reportedly finished working on the new features of iOS 16 last week, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

The mobile software update will launch in September alongside watchOS 9 and new iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Series 8 models. iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura have reportedly been delayed to October where they will likely launch alongside new iPads.

The iOS 16.0 update, which Apple engineers finished work on this past week, is due to launch in September alongside watchOS 9. Those updates will correspond with the new hardware. The macOS Ventura and iPadOS upgrades, on the other hand, are now scheduled for October (after Stage Manager-related delays to the iPad software) to match the new hardware lineup.

Apple is expected to announce a special event for September 7 with its newly announced devices set for release on September 16. You can get ready for the event by downloading the official iOS 16 wallpapers here.
