Apple May Unveil AR/MR Headset in January 2023 [Kuo]

Apple may announce its long rumored AR/MR headset in January 2023, according to TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The unveiling event is expected to reduce investor concerns about an innovative user experience and low shipments of under 1.5 million units in 2023.

Apple AR/MR headset will be the next revolutionary consumer electronics product after iPhone. Suppose Apple AR/MR headset's rapid growth shipments in the next years can be come market consensus. In that case, investor should pay more attention to Apple and AR/MR suppliers that meet the following criteria: 1) all-new specifications, 2) specification upgrade, and 3) volume increase.

Kuo says the market expects Apple's headset to be priced at $2,000 - $2,500 or higher. The first generation device is said to be primarily focused on proving that market demand exists. If it does, the price will gradually decrease, boosting rapid shipment growth.
