CoolStar has announced that a jailbreak of A12+ devices running iOS 15.0 to iOS 15.1.1 may be ready soon.
According to the hacker, this jailbreak may be the "last jailbreak" for devices with an A12 chip or newer. The A12 chip was first introduced with iPhone XS in 2018. Since then the company has released the A12X, A12Z, A13, A14, and A15.

We may have an idea for defeating AMFI on iOS 15.1 🙂
If you are on the compatible firmwares, we hope to have something ready soon. Do note this will most likely be the last jailbreak for A12+, as anything for 15.2 and up is extremely unlikely
Anyways, here’s to the last jailbreak! But we will target getting 15.1.1 done

Apple has made it increasingly difficult for hackers to jailbreak the iPhone with each new release of iOS. Recently, CoolStar said that with all the hardware mitigations, it may now be up to governments to introduce legislation giving owners the ability to install software without Apple's approval. Of course, we're hopeful this is not the case; however, jailbreaks have become few and far between.
