Apple has released a firmware update for its AirTag trackers.
The new firmware version is 1.0.301, build number 1A301. The previous version was 1.0.291 with a build number of 1A291.
At this time, it's unclear if there are any new features in the update.
You can check your version number using the Find My app. Switch to the Items tab, choose your AirTag from the list, then tap on the name of your AirTag.
If your AirTag needs to be updated, try leaving it next to your iPhone while it's plugged in to charge. You may need to do this overnight. Also note, only 1% of users will get the update today. 10% will get the update on May 3, 25% on May 9, and 100% on May 13.
You can purchase a single AirTag tracker for $29 or a four pack for $99.
