Apple has released a fix for its Studio Display webcam alongside the latest beta of macOS Monterey 12.4, reports The Verge.
Apple spokesperson Jennie Orphanopoulos told the site that "an update to the Studio Display firmware is now available with today’s beta release of macOS Monterey 12.4. This beta update has refinements to the Studio Display camera tuning, including improved noise reduction, contrast, and framing."
The performance of Apple's Studio Display webcam was widely criticized in early reviews of the monitor. Given that it features a 12-megapixel sensor, f/2.4 lens, and A13 chip, we're hopeful the company has managed to improve image quality with the Studio Display 15.5 firmware beta.
