Microsoft has released a beta of Microsoft Teams for macOS with Apple Silicon support.
Support for Apple's M1 processor has been widely requested for over a year. While Microsoft Teams can run on new M1 Macs via Rosetta 2, the added performance boost from a Universal Binary is often substantial.
It's unclear when Microsoft intends to release a production version of Microsoft Teams with Apple Silicon support; however, it's currently possible to direct download the new exploration build here. The version you're looking for is 1.5.00.11505-E.
9to5Mac reports that the next public preview version of Microsoft Teams will be released tomorrow. It's possible that build could have Apple Silicon support as well.
