New molds, allegedly for Apple's upcoming iPhone 14 lineup, confirm recent rumors and leaks of an even larger camera bump.
A photo shared on Weibo today, reveals four new devices including a 6.1-inch iPhone 14, 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. Apple is expected to drop the iPhone mini from its 2022 lineup.
It's said that the iPhone 14 Pro will feature an improved 48MP camera, resulting in the larger camera bump.
The diagonal length of 48MP CIS will increase by 25-35%, and the height of 48MP's 7P lens will increase by 5-10%.
Alleged schematics show a camera bump that measures 36.71mm x 38.24mm and purported specs for the camera itself predict a lens pixel size of 1.22µm, down from 1.9µm on the iPhone 13 Pro. The new sensor size is listed as 1/1.3", compared to 1/1.65" on the iPhone 13 Pro.
Also rumored, is a new 'pill + hole' cutout design that will replace the notch on the new Pro models. Additionally, the iPhone 14 Pro models may get a new A16 processor; whereas, the iPhone 14 models are said to continue using the A15.
