Apple has created a special tool to remove the power cable from its new 27-inch Studio Display.
This weekend, @StellaFudge shared a picture of what is allegedly an Apple Studio Display Power Cable Removal Tool, tweeting...
"The Studio Display Power Cable Removal Tool is absolutely wild!"
Looking at the image, it appears that you wrap the cord around the tool, brace it against the back of the stand, then press downwards on the handle to pull out the cable.
In the company's documentation for the Studio Display, Apple says the power cord is not removable. However, early reviewers found that it was. The Verge's Nilay Patel shared a picture on Twitter of the power cord removed, describing it as a "goofy connector".
It's possible that Apple is using a proprietary connector to due to the monitor's thin design. It measures around 1" thick.
