These are instructions on how to add widgets to your iPhone.
Widgets can show current information from your favorite apps on your Home Screen. You can also use widgets on the Today View by swiping right from the Home Screen or Lock Screen.
To follow these steps you will need to have installed iOS 14 or later.
iOS comes with a selection of stock widgets preinstalled. If you'd like to add a widget from a specific application, make sure you've installed that app using the App Store. We'll use the iClarified app for this example.
Tap and hold on an empty area of your SpringBoard until the app icons begin to jiggle then press the + button at the top left of the Home Screen.
Scroll down and choose a widget from the list of available widgets. We'll select the iClarified widget.
Swipe to select between different widget variations then tap Add Widget to continue.
Drag the widget around to position it on your Springboard then tap the Done button at the top right of the screen to finish.
Some widgets offer customization options that are accessible once installed. Tap and hold the widget to bring up its contextual menu, then tap Edit Widget.
Here you can adjust a widget's settings to your preferences.
Tap off the settings window to save your changes.
By stacking widgets you can save space on your iPhone Home Screen or Today View.

Drag one of your Home Screen widgets on top of another widget to create a stack. You can stack up to 10 widgets.
Tap Done at the top right of the Home Screen to finish.

You can reorder widgets in the stack by dragging the widget to the position you'd like to place it. Swipe left over a widget to delete it.
You can also turn Smart Rotate on or off. Smart Rotate aims to show you relevant widgets throughout the day.
Additionally, if you're running iOS 15, you can toggle Widget Suggestions on or off. Widget Suggestions lets apps you already use appear in your stack at the right time based on past activity.
Tape Done to save your changes.
A Smart Stack is a pre-built collection of widgets that aims to display the right widget based on location, activity, or time. Smart Stack widgets are automatically rotated to show the most relevant information throughout the day.
Tap and hold on an empty area of your SpringBoard until the app icons begin to jiggle then press the + button at the upper left corner of the home screen.
Scroll down and select Smart Stack from the list of widgets available.
Choose a Smart Stack Widget, then tap Add Widget.
Position the smart stack on your SpringBoard, then tap Done.
Just like your own widget stack, you can swipe up or down to switch between widgets in a Smart Stack. Currently, the default Smart Stack widget includes Weather, Calendar, Apple News, Photos, Maps, Music, and Siri Suggestions.
