Apple is no longer expected to launch its widely rumored mini-LED iMac Pro with Apple Silicon this spring, reports display analyst Ross Young.
In a recent tweet, Young said he now expects the new desktop to launch this summer.
As we reported in today's DSCC Weekly, we no longer expect the Apple iMac Pro to launch in the spring. Looks more like summer. Still with a MiniLED backlight, but fewer MiniLEDs/zones than in iPad/MacBook Pro's.
Notably, Young says panel shipments for the desktop should begin in June; however, the actual release could get pushed as late as August or September.
It's possible Apple could unveil the iMac Pro in June at WWDC 2022 and release it to customers some time after the event.
