BOE is aiming to supply OLED panels for next year's iPhone 15 Pro, according to a new report from TheElec.

It is hoping to achieve this by successfully applying low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) technology on the OLED panels it will manufacture at its latest factory B12 at Chongqing, China, sources said. LTPO technology allows for a 120Hz variable refresh rate on the screen.

BOE currently supplies 6.06-inch OLED panels for the iPhone 13 and it will supply the same panel for the iPhone 14 that launches this fall. It's expected to supply 40-50 million panels in 2022, up from 15-16 million in 2021.

The LTPO OLED panels used in the iPhone 13 Pro are supplied by Samsung. This year, Samsung is expected to be the sole supplier of 6.06-inch OLED panels for the iPhone 14 Pro but will share orders for 6.68-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max panels with LG.
