Microsoft Announces Public Preview of OneDrive Sync for M1 Macs

Microsoft has announced a public preview of OneDrive Sync for Apple Silicon and Windows on ARM.

We’re excited to announce that OneDrive sync for Windows on ARM and for Apple silicon is now available as a public preview! We know this has been a long awaited and highly requested feature, and we're thrilled to make it available for early access.

To enable the preview, join the Insiders ring and enable the preview in OneDrive Settings > About. Microsoft says the feature will be rolled out over the next few days.


In late October, Dropbox announced it would release an update with native Apple M1 support in the first half of 2022 but only after an outcry from users who were upset that the company hadn't committed to supporting Apple's new chips.
