Apple is planning to release a new 'iMac Pro' with M1 Pro/Max chips in the first half of 2022, according to a new report from leaker @dylandkt.

The desktop is said to feature a 27-inch mini-LED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate (Promotion) and dark bezels. Customers will be able to configure it will either an M1 Pro or M1 Max chip. The base model reportedly comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Other specs include HDMI, SD card, USB-C ports, Ethernet on brick, and possibly Face ID (not confirmed). The starting price will be at or over $2000.

The current internal naming candidate for this device is "iMac Pro". As a disclaimer though, the marketing team can change gears very quickly. Why will it be called this? To better distinguish this device from the iMac 24. This is a "Pro" device with a Pro Chip. This device is replacing the current intel iMac 27 inch just in case anyone was wondering. :)

Dylan notes there *may* be an added configuration, hopefully for added performance, but that's unclear at this time.
