Next Generation iPhone to be Named 'iPhone 13' [Report]

Apple's next generation iPhone will be named the 'iPhone 13', according to a new report from UDN.

This year’s new iPhone will return to the situation announced in September of the previous year. The foundry will start shipping in the third quarter, and the peak of the pull will fall in the fourth quarter. Apple will launch four new models, namely the 6.7-inch iPhone 13. Pro Max, 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro, and 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch models, also named iPhone 13.

Notably, a recent survey of Apple users found that 74% would prefer a different name than 'iPhone 13'.

Hon Hai (Foxconn) has landed the most assembly orders including all the orders for the 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max, 68% of the orders for the 6.1-inch iPhone 13, and 60% of the orders for the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro.

Luxshare has reported landed 40% of orders for the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro and Pegatron has exclusively won orders for the 5.4-inch iPhone 13.

Shipments of the iPhone 13 are expected to reach 85 million this year and overall iPhone shipments are predicted to total around 228 million for 2021.
