Apple is planning to release its next generation AirPods Pro wireless earbuds in 2022, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
The analyst says that demand for AirPods will likely be 'lower-than-expected' for the rest of the year. Kuo lowered his forecast to 70-75 million from 75-85 million but says that the new model could boost shipments to 100 million next year.
A recent Bloomberg report claimed that Apple was working on updated motion sensors for AirPods Pro with a focus on fitness. Additionally, the company has tested a design that eliminates the stem, similar to Beats Studio Buds.
If you were looking to purchase AirPods Pro, they are on sale today for $189.95, a discount of $59.05! Please download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for updates.
