Apple's AirPods may soon work with Apple Music Lossless via AirPlay, according to a rumor from leaker Jon Prosser.
Following the announcement of Apple Music Lossless, customers were upset to learn that their AirPods, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max would not work with the higher quality audio tier.
Prosser says a software update could change that...
"I'm being told that with a simple update, at any time, Apple is working on allowing AirPods to work over AirPlay instead. With AirPlay your device would use Bluetooth to discover the AirPods as devices but once connected it would then create a personal Wi-Fi connection to stream the audio between devices. And BOOM, just like that AirPods are the first wireless headphones to stream Lossless Audio."
Apple Music Lossless is coming next month. Take a look at the video below and please download the iClarified app or follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and RSS for further updates.
