Apple Headset to Have 15 Cameras [Report]

Apple's rumored mixed reality headset will feature fifteen cameras, according to a new report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
It's believed that the cameras could be used to capture data from the outside world and to track a user's eye movements. Kuo has also suggested that the cameras could enable iris recognition.
Eye tracking is said to allow an intuitive visual experience that interacts with the external environment, the ability to control operation with eye movements, and an easing of computational burden by reducing resolution where the user is not looking.
Earlier this year, The Information reported that Apple's rumored VR headset could feature dual 8K displays, over a dozen cameras, and cost around $3000. Kuo followed up that report saying that the device would adopt a hybrid Fresnel lens design and aim to keep its weight under 150 grams.
