Sonos has sent out press invites to a new product launch on March 9th, reports The Verge.
The invite for the launch shows a person out in a field — strongly hinting that the device will be portable. My guess is it’s something that would fit in that shoulder bag.
A recent FCC filing revealed that Sonos is working on what could be a smaller battery powered speaker. The device features Bluetooth connectivity and has a wireless charging stand, similar to the Sonos Move which costs $399.
Sonos is also working on premium noise cancelling headphones as seen in a design patent filing at the German Patent and Trademark Office. Those headphones could compete with Apple's new AirPods Max; however, it's unclear if they will be unveiled at this event.
